Quiet week from us this week, where we'd usually have an update on a Wednesday we spent some time behind the scenes getting a software upgrade ready, the result of which is mostly invisible to you guys and gals, unless we broke something. We'll have some more upgrades and gentle improvements to the site coming over the next few weeks.
Lets get on to what we're all here for, the linklog, we've built up another glut of first class links over the past few weeks so get yourself a drink and be ready to spend the next few hours clicking around the net.

First up we have the excellent Motorsport Retro it subtitles itself "A celebration of motorsport from the 60s, 70s and 80s" so it manages to hit slap bang in the bullseye of our interests. The site is really well designed and has sections for bikes, cars, design, gear and people. The stories are varied, interesting and well written. We like it so much we've added it to our blogroll, praise indeed!
We've mentioned before our love of a good barn find, but sometimes there is a strange beauty in the discovery of cars that are too far gone. The photostream of the curiously named 731132 on Flickr has a selection of skeletal finds and some more solid cars mostly from Sweden. It can act as both as eye candy and a stern warning to not let your car get in that state! You have used rust protection this year haven't you?
Whilst on the subject of Flickr, we found the photostream from LowTechMarc whilst searching for more information of what was going on in Switzerland, whilst we've not got much further, there are some tantalising images in this selection.
One of our aims when doing this blog was to explore car cultures from around the world, one of the most famous and most fascinating is American low rider culture, we get a great glimpse of the Californian scene from our friend Jae Beuno whose blog is in our blog roll, recently though we discovered the work of BigMando, representing Arizona you get to see more of the lowrider culture as it is lived. The shows, the cars, the bikes, the clothes, the art, the whole lot is here for you to enjoy. Make sure you check back through the archives to, there is some great stuff in there.
Lets round this out with a video, it is easy to take for granted the speed that is travelled in top flight motorsport, this on board ride around LeMan in a Porsche 956 should give you an idea of just how fast they are going.
Next week will be a little bit quiet again from us, with one of the team on holiday and the rest involved in The Retro Rides Gathering. Back to full power the week after though.
